KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Stater (Gold, 17 mm, 8.61 g, 1 h), Amphipolis, circa 340/36-328. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠOY Charioteer driving biga to right, holding reins in his left hand and goad in his right; below horses, crescent to right. Le Rider pl. 77, 102 (D46/R77). Very well centered and exceptionally lustrous and fresh. Very minor die rust on the obverse and a few very light marks, otherwise, virtually as struck.
